Judge Jack Peace
Harold Ruggles and Pamela J. Williams vs. William Bertrand and Jamie Bertrand. A petition was filed to rescind a real estate agreement.
David Dublo, 29, Missouri Department of Corrections, was sentenced to serve one year in the Department of Corrections on three charges of misdemeanor third degree assault. His convictions were reversed on two charges of armed criminal action. He had appealed his convictions in the cases, which had been moved to Grundy County on a change of venue from Mercer County.
Division II
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Bradley Leatherman, 24, Gallatin, pleaded guilty to to amended charge of speeding 64 miles per hour in a 60 zone (the original charge was speeding 74 mph in a 60 zone) and was fined $200 and $58.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty, pursuant to a plea agreement, to speeding and was fined $200 and $58.50 costs. He was allowed to attend driver improvement school in lieu of points assessed.
Jonathon A. McAtee, 22, 350 N.W. 68th Ave., appeared in court and did not have $96 due on a charge of failing to register a vehicle with the Director of Revenue/no seatbelt and $184 on a charge of speeding. The total amount was taken from his bond.
Jacob A. Smith, 21, 1209 Cedar St., pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle annually with the Director of Revenue and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs.
Jace N. Glidewell, 18, Spickard, pleaded guilty to failing to display valid plates on a trailer and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs.
Denman A. Clevenger, 43, Camdenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of speeding 64 miles per hour in a 60 zone (the original charge was speeding 70 mph in a 60 zone) and was fined $200 and $58.50 costs.
Robert L. Sharp, 27, Trenton, failed to appear in court and forfeited his bond in lieu of a $141.50 fine and $58 costs on a charge of failing to display valid plates on a motor vehicle.
Elaine M. Hiskett, 31, Jameson, pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle annually with the Director of Revenue and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs.
Michael L. White, 53, Galt, appeared in court and had his fine of $86 owed on a conviction for failing to display valid plates on a motor vehicle converted to nine days in the Grundy County Detention Center.
Scott Myers, 33, 876 N.W. 45th Ave., pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $32.50 and $58 costs.
Ronald L. Miller, 31, 389 S.W. 20th St., pleaded guilty to refusing to disperse and was fined $100 and $116.50 costs and the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund judgment. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of resisting arrest and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for six months and is to complete anger management classes and pay $250 restitution to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund on each count.
Paul E. Thomas, 47, 71117 Catalina Dr., had his case bound over to Division I on a charge of second degree burglary and is to appear in court again May 15.
Sherry J. Lambert, 45, 115 W. 11th St., had charges of possession up to 35 grams or less of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia dismissed.
Steven M. Burchett, 39, 921 Normal St., pleaded guilty to an amended charge of having no valid operator’s license (the original charge was driving a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended) and was fined $137.50 and $58.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $500, $106.50 costs, $10 to the CVCF and $98 recoupment of funds.
Paul E. Gardner, 42, 1816 Mable St., pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, (the original charge was a felony as an aggravated offender with three convictions) and was sentenced to serve 180 days in the Grundy County Detention Center. Execution of the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He is to pay $116.50 costs and CVCF judgment. He is also to complete an inpatient treatment program and follow recommendations. He also pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was revoked and was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. He also pleaded guilty to unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. The sentences are to run concurrently and he was given credit for 10 days already served. He is also to pay $106.50 costs and $10 to the CVCF.
Associate Civil
Capitol Finance Group vs. Cynthia Jarrett, also known as Cynthia Blake. A default judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $4,945.01. The case involved breach of contract.
Midland Funding LLC vs. Mary Rebello. A consent judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $899.10, with interest to continue to accrue at 9 percent. Judgment was stayed as long as monthly payments are made. The case involved a suit on account.
LVNV Funding LLC vs. Clint Sibbit. A default judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $8,504.24, with interest to continue to accrue at 9 percent. The case involved a suit on account.
