Goldie Mae Wendt, a 96-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Mercer Assembly of God Church. Bro. Robert Markum will officiate. Burial will be in the Early Cemetery, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton.
A family visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Wendt was born on Jan. 19, 1912 in Mercer, the daughter of Albert and Darcie Wile Cunningham. She graduated from Mercer High School and was a member of the Mercer American Legion Auxiliary and the Mercer Assembly of God Church. She was a housekeeper for many persons during her lifetime.
She was married in 1931 to Chester Wendt, whom she later divorced. He preceded her in death in 1964.
She is survived by a son, Keith Wendt and his wife, Margaret, of Pomona, CA; a daughter, Mary Duncan of Alhambra, CA; two stepdaughters, Janice Stilwell and her husband, Dan, of Oneida, NY and Robyn Young and her husband, Doug, of Seabrook, TX; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Buster, Burlois (Dutch) and Eldon (Shine) Cunningham; and a granddaughter, Denise Payton.
