Trenton R-9 librarians Susan Ward and Mary Peterson attended the Missouri Association of School Librarians annual spring Conference at Osage Beach on April 13-15.

Keynote speakers were education advocate, Dr. Monte Selby and motivational speaker, Dr. Tim Crowley. Authors receiving Missouri student reader awards for last year’s winning books were Lola Schaefer, the Show Me Award for “Arrowhawk”; Peg Kehret, the Mark Twain Award for “Abduction!”; and Ellen Hopkins, the Gateway Award for “Crank.”
Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Peterson attended a variety of workshops about reading programs and promotions, newly published literature, emerging research technologies and staff curriculum collaboration.
