The Trenton Middle School girls and boys track teams took first place in their own track meet on Tuesday at C.F. Russell Stadium.
No girls points were available, however, the TMS boys gathered 108 points to capture the top spot. Princeton was second with 101 points, followed by Hamilton and Pleasant View R-6. Grundy R-5 also competed.

Girls
The TMS girls track team got first-place finishes from Chandler Wilson in the 100-meter dash, Megan Sole in the mile run, Kaylee Lickteig in the pole vault, Mackenzie Mack in the 200-meter dash and Niki Zuniga in the triple jump as well as the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams.
Wilson was second in the 200-meter dash as was the second 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams. Taking third were Zuniga in the 75-meter hurdles, Mack in the 100-meter dash, Morgan Brown in the 400-meter run, Kate Lowrey in the 800-meter run and the second 4×200 relay team.
Fourth place winners were Avery Whitaker in the 75-meter hurdles, Abby Curtis in the mile, Halie Brewer in the 400-meter run, Kendra Lickteig in the 800-meter run, Ashley Osborn in the 200-meter dash, Chanel Pash in the triple jump, Hannah Mullany in the long jump, Shelby Chaney in the shot put and Mack in the high jump.
Taking fifth place were Osborn in the 75-meter hurdles, Jordan Sahagan in the mile, Katie Halstead in the shot put, Chaney in the discus and Maddie Hooyman in the high jump.
Boys
The TMS boys had a host of first-place finishes, led by Clay Oneal in the 400-meter run, Seth Acton in the 800-meter run, Brennon Vandevender in the triple jump and Nathan Brewer in the pole vault. The 4×100 relay team of Oneal, Vandevender, Tyler Ward and Keegan McGinness also finished first.
Taking second were McGinness in the 100-meter dash, Ward in the 100-meter hurdles, Vandevender in the long jump and high jump, Austin Norris in the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs, Joey Christenson in the discus and the 4×400 relay team of Ward, Aaron Snuffer, Addison Fuller and Oneal.
The 4×200 relay team of Brewer, Austin Taul, Fuller and Morgan Schelker was third. Taking fourth were Brewer, 100-meter and 200-meter dashes; Schelker, 100-meter hurdles; Snuffer, 400-meter run; Oneal, discus; Christenson, shot put; and the 4×400 relay team of Taul, Dillon Triplet, Pius Nyakoojo and Acton.
Schelker was fifth in the triple jump and Riley Maberry took fifth in the discus.
The middle school teams travel to Higginsville on Friday.
