Huston Sprinkle and Ellis Gilham led the pledges to American and 4-H flags. Roll call was answered with “What is something your family does for fun?”
Several from the Grundy Go Getters attended Contest Day and either received blue ribbons or will continue onto the Missouri State Fair. They included Ellis Gilham, Emma Gilham, Rebecca Tate, Sam Tate, Abby Saul, Morganne Farmer, Clair Myers and Melea Farmer.
Project reports were given in the projects of sheep, goat and pigs. A demonstration was given by Matheson and Malachi Knapp on “Living Yeast.”
Each member participated in making a first aid kit with items donated by area businesses and learned what to do in a tornado disaster.
The Knapp family provided refreshments for the club.
The next Grundy Go Getters 4-H meeting will be at 6 p.m. on May 12.
