Memorial services for Thelma L. Brown will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.

The body was cremated and no visitation is planned. Burial will be at a later date at the Salem Cemetery, located near Mill Grove in Mercer County.
Mrs. Brown, an 87-year-old former Trenton and Cameron resident, died at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Pearl’s II Eden for Elders at Princeton.
Mrs. Brown was born on Dec. 17, 1920 at Princeton, the daughter of Parvin and Lena Vesta Coon Woodward.
She was married on July 6, 1936 at Princeton to Kenneth Wilbur Brown, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2002. They had lived at Mill Grove until moving to Trenton in 1952, then moving to Spickard in 1964. They returned to Trenton in 1997. For 23 years they wintered in Texas. Mrs. Brown moved to Cameron two years ago to be near her son, Kenneth.
She was a member of the Spickard Methodist Church.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Brown of Cameron and Robert F. Brown of Kansas City; a daughter, Billie Jo Kilgore of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Mary Jane Potarf and Joyce Franklin of Princeton; two brothers, Ray Woodward of Princeton and Ed Woodward of Faucett; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Louise Brown; an infant brother; a sister, Faye Slife; and twin granddaughters.
