Matthew Shane Epperson, 31, died on Saturday March 15, 2008 at La Porte, TX following a motorcycle accident. He was a resident of Laredo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. A visitation will follow the services at Resthaven.
Mr. Epperson was born on May 31, 1976 at Chillicothe, the son of David and Peggy Callaham Epperson. Raised near Laredo on the family farm, he attended Laredo grade school and then graduated from Trenton High School. He also attended vo-tech at Chillicothe during and after high school. After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps in February 1996, where he served for four years. After his discharge he worked as a mechanic until he joined the Boilermakers Union and started that career. He was a certified welder and was an active boilermaker at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Laredo Christian Church and Trenton Elks Lodge, #801, BPOE.
Mr. Epperson is survived by his mother, Peggy Epperson, of the home in Laredo; a son, Matthew Colton Epperson of Columbia; three brothers, Michael Epperson and his wife, Tawny, of Laredo, Andrew Epperson and his wife, Debbie, of Laredo and Bruce Epperson, and his wife Kelly, of St. Joseph; two sisters, Cynthia Foster and her husband, David, of Laredo and Stacia Slagle and her husband, Troy, of Maysville; and nieces and nephews, Colby, Kari, Logan, Hilary, Jacob, Nathan, Eric, Torria, Camarie, Ian and Kavan.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Laredo Elementary School. These may be left at or mailed to the Resthaven Mortuary at PO Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
