The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association released the Class 1 District 14 All-District team Thursday afternoon. A total of eight players from area teams received the honor.

On the girls side, Monica Wilson and Kyla Payne of Gilman City and Deanna Peck and Jessica Huffman of Newtown-Harris were named to the all district squad. Named to the All-District boys team were KJ Cool, Canaan Fairley and Brandon Coin of Newtown-Harris and Blake Johnson of Gilman City.
The fifth member of the girls squad was Jaclyn Ray of North Daviess and the fifth member of the boys squad was David Claycomb of Ridgeway.
Also, Gilman City Lady Hawks’ Head Coach Tina Holt and Newtown-Harris boys Head Coach Tim Cool were named Class 1 District 14 coach of the year in their respective divisions.
