Frank Meeker, a 92-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Saturday night, Feb. 23, 2008 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where he had been a resident for almost a year.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton with Rev. Ron Ratliff officiating. Burial will be at Rural Dale Cemetery, east of Trenton.
A family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Meeker was born July 14, 1915 in Laredo, the son of Azariah W. and Zella Morris Meeker. He attended Grundy County rural schools and graduated from Galt High School. He was a life-long resident of Grundy County and Trenton. He worked for Missouri Public Service, retiring in 1982 as plant foreman after 30 years.
He was a 60-year-plus member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton, where he served as deacon since 1955, was Sunday School superintendent for 18 years and was also the training union director and a Sunday school teacher.
He was married at Grundy County on Dec. 24, 1939 to Alice Moore, who preceded him in death on July 25,1993.
He is survived by two daughters, Imogene Arney and her husband, Bill, of Trenton and Cathie Whitley and her husband, Jim, of Trenton; one grandson, Bryon Lovell and his wife, Cindy, of Camdenton; one granddaughter Nicole Shell and her husband, Matt, of Manhattan, KS; one grandson, Trevor Whitley of Trenton; and one great-granddaughter, Heather Lovell of Eldon.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one sister Colene Lowrey; one infant sister; and two brothers, Forest Meeker and Virgil Meeker.
