Jason F. Hill, a 36-year-old resident of Prairie du Chien, WI, died on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer. He is a former Trenton resident and also lived in Tama, IA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama. Rev. Mike Mescher will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 and from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Mr. Hill was born on Sept. 30, 1971 in Grinnell, IA, the son of Hugh “Sut” Hill and Barbara Yilek. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and was employed in the family business, Sut-Hill Motors in Prairie du Chien. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He loved boating, water skiing and his smile could brighten anyone’s day.
He was a member of the St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien, Ducks Unlimited and Kiwanis. He was a great family man.
He was married in Cascade, IA on June 19, 1995 to Gina Kraus, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two children, Tessa Katelyn and Tyson Fredrick; his father, Hugh “Sut” Hill and his wife, Tammy, of Prairie du Chien; his mother, Barbara Yilek Probst and her husband, Daryl, of Owatonna, MN; a sister, Whitney Hill of Prairie du Chien; and two stepbrothers, Brad Humble and his wife, April, of McGregor, IA, and Chad Humble of Overland Park, KS.
The family suggests memorials of the donor’s choice.
