Filing late Tuesday afternoon was incumbent second ward councilman Kenneth Ewing of 714 W. 15th St., who is seeking re-election to another two-year term on the Trenton City Council. That gives the council one candidate for each of its four wards.
The Trenton R-9 School District and North Central Missouri College will not have to hold elections as there were the same number of candidates filing for the same number of open positions. The same state law applies for other school districts in the area who do not have more candidates filing for the board than open spots.
