A prescribed burn workshop for CRP and grassland management will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Grundy County USDA Office on Oklahoma Avenue.

Topics to be discussed at the workshop will include the history of fire on the landscape, burn timing, safety considerations, developing a burn plan and equipment and resources. The workshop will also discuss alternatives to burning such as light disking and herbicide strip spraying. Refreshments and handout materials will be provided.
