Barbara Warren, a 63-year-old resident of 1302 Lake Manor Drive in Trenton, died at 8:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at her residence under hospice care.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Trenton. Rev. Denise Turner will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
There will be a scheduled family visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Warren was born on July 5, 1944 at Percyville, IA, the daughter of Earl Dwane and Effie Marie Tull Sturdevant. She graduated from Trenton High School in the class of 1962 and had lived most of her life in Trenton. She was married on May 11, 1963 to Don Warren, who survives of the home. She had been employed as a secretary for Elizabeth Linker at Trenton Abstract for 20 years and then became a clerk at the Grundy County Circuit Clerk’s office, where she worked for many years until she retired. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and Bingo.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, the Wednesday Night Bridge Club and the Chillicothe Bowling Association.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband, Don; two sons, Keith Warren of Trenton and Kevin Warren and partner, Knut Nagel, of Karlsruhe, Germany; a brother, John Sturdevant and his wife, Eileen of St. Louis; three sisters, Lynna, now Mrs. Bryon Cagle of Trenton, and Carolyn, now Mrs. Glenn Tharp, and Teanah, now Mrs. Ron Oswalt, both of Chillicothe; and a granddaughter, Jena Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-father, Jim Dabler.
The family has suggested that memorials may be given to either the Grundy County Food Pantry or the First Christian Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home at 813 Custer, Trenton, MO 64683.
