TMU Opens Wastewater Improvement Bids

Trenton Municipal Utilities received three bids for construction of the wastewater treatment plant improvement project, which were opened on Tuesday.

TMU Director Chad Davis said Irvinbilt Company of Chillicothe submitted the lowest of the three bids at $7,714,000. The next low bid was submitted by Foley Company of Kansas City, $8,671,400, while the third bid was from David E. Ross Construction Company of Raytown, $8,680,800.
Davis said that the project engineer from Burns and McDonnell of Kansas City and TMU officials will review the bids for completeness and accuracy prior to the awarding of a contract. Davis said the utility plans to award a contract in January, with construction to start in late February or March.
