Wanda June Daniel, a 73-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Jamesport.
A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. An open visitation will begin after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daniel was born on Aug. 14, 1934 in rural Sullivan County, the daughter of H.W. and Flora Toney Irelan. She attended country school and later the Green City High School. She was married in September 1950 to Richard Daniel, who survives of the home. The couple lived all over the U.S. while Richard was employed by the U.S. Government. The couple bought a farm in Colorado and became interested in collecting and selling antiques. They semi-retired in 1995, moving to Jamesport to continue in the antique business.
She enjoyed cooking and was involved in doing crafts and repairing old quilts for resale. She enjoyed going to the nursing home in Trenton, where she played the guitar and sang.
Mrs. Daniel is survived her husband, Richard; two daughters, Linda Gross of Rock Island, IL and Susan Aherns of Inverness, FL; one brother, Darrel Irelan of Palm Springs, CA; two sisters, June Wortz of Trenton and Helen Bear of Moline, IL; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and one brother.
