Robert D. Holtman, a 79-yea-old resident of Trenton died on Friday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2007 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be at Berry Cemetery north of Galt.
General visitation is under way at the funeral home.
Mr. Holtman, was born on Sept. 24, 1928 in Creighton, NE, the son of Louis Henry and Aurelia Maria Brandt Holtman. He graduated from Meadow Grove, NE, High School. He farmed in the Galt area before retiring and moving to Trenton.
He was married in 1947 to Sylvia Alexander, who preceded him in death.
He was married at Southgate, CA on Sept. 24, 1965 to Mildred Watson, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2001.
His is survived by two daughters, Gayle Barnett and her husband, Wesley, of Hiawatha, KS and Mary Pine of Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Darrel Holtman of Hiawatha and Lee Douglas Holt-man and his wife, Carrie, of Hiawatha; two sisters, Joyce Courter and her husband, Hal, of Dunlap and Marie Boyle and her husband, Gary, of Trenton; four brothers, Roger Holtman and his wife, Faye, of Dunlap, David Holtman and his wife, Pat, of Des Moines, IA, Gary Holtman and his wife, Doris, of Columbus, MS and Paul Holtman and his wife, Pat, of Sumner; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Holtman; two sisters Corrine Alexander and Dorothy Holtman; and two grandchildren.
