Greg Whitney, a 60-year-old former Trenton resident, died at his home in Palm Springs, CA on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007.

The body was cremated and service arrangements will be announced later by the Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton.
Mr. Whitney was born on March 27, 1947 at Trenton, the son of James Delvin and Avis Madge McCalley Whitney. He moved to Florida as a small child with his family and they returned to Trenton in 1964. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1965. He graduated from the University of Missouri’s Economic Development Institute with extensive graduate coursework in Public Administration as a Certified Economic Developer. He belonged to Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University. He worked in Business Development in Colorado, Michigan, Missouri and California. At the time of his death, he was the Vice President of Business Development for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, a position he had held since 1998.
Mr. Whitney is survived by his wife, Charlotte Whitney of the home in Palm Springs; a son, Wesley Whitney of Denver, CO; a step-daughter, Heather Dougan; a brother, Rick Whitney of Ash Grove; a sister, Cindi Hicks of San Antonio, TX; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
