The Trenton Middle School basketball teams continued a week of road trips on Tuesday night, traveling to Princeton, where the Bull-dogs swept the Tigers in all four games.

Eighth Grade Girls
The eighth grade girls improved their record to 8-2 with a 35-23 win that saw Princeton pull within six points in the third quarter. Trenton took the early lead, going up 12-7 in the first quarter and going into the half leading 23-13. The Lady Tigers stepped up their defense in the third quarter, holding Trenton to only two points, while scoring six. The Lady Bulldogs came roaring back in the final period, scoring 10 points to Princeton’s four and taking the win.
TMS was led by Chanel Pash, who had 10 points and eight rebounds, while Nikki Zuniga had eight points, five rebounds and five steals in the contest. Princeton was led by Palmer (no first name listed) with eight points.
The eighth grade girls are in action tonight, taking on the host team at 7 p.m. in the Brookfield Tournament.
Seventh Grade Girls
The seventh grade girls kept their record spotless with an impressive 44-17 win over Princeton.
Trenton dominated in each quarter, outscoring Princeton 10-2 in the first period and leading 20-5 at the half. The second half was much of the same as Trenton was able to extend its lead to 34-11 at the end of three quarters and outscoring the Lady Tigers 10-6 in the final period to cruise to their seventh win of the season, 44-17.
Avery Whitaker had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Maddie Hooyman chipped in with eight points. Chandler Wilson and Jessica Tracy each added six points for Trenton. Jaci Tracy had four steals and three rebounds, while Katie Ireland also collected five rebounds.
Princeton was led by Natalie Parrot with six points.
The seventh grade girls will be at home Thursday evening against Cameron. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in the TMS gym.
Eighth Grade Boys
The eighth grade boys won a hard-fought battle, 28-22, against a Princeton team that would not give up.
Trenton led 5-4 at the end of the first quarter and went into the locker room at half time leading only 12-10. Trenton came out ready to play in the third, outscoring the Tigers 10-4 to go into the final period of play up 22-14. Princeton wasn’t about to call it a game, however, and scored eight points in the final period, but Trenton scored six to take the win.
Keegan McGinnis led all scorers with 10 for Trenton, while Joey Christensen and Brennon Van-devender each had six, Austin Taul added four and Seth Acton chipped in two points. Princeton was led by Jalen Richman with eight points and Jake Letner with seven.
The boys will take their 2-7 record into the Brookfield Tourna-ment tonight, taking on the host team at 8:15 p.m.
Seventh Grade Boys
The seventh grade boys dominated Princeton with a 31-23 win that saw Austin Taul score 17 points, while Seth Acton and Hunter Treadwell each added six. T. Sponsler led Princeton with 15 points.
The victory puts the seventh grade boys at an even 3-3 on the season. They will face Cameron in the THS gym Thursday following the girls game.
