The Grundy R-5 High School Academic Team tied for second place in the HDC Conference and placed a team member on the All-Conference Team during the recently-completed season.

The regular season standings included North Harrison, 9-1; Grundy R-5 and Newtown-Harris, 8-2; North Mercer, 7-3; Pattonsburg, 5-5; North Daviess, Tri-County and Winston, 4-6; Gilman City, 3-7; and Ridgeway and Cainsville, 1-9.
Conference tournament results included Pattonsburg, first; Newtown-Harris, second; North Harrison, third; and North Mercer, fourth.
Junior Tyler Jackson of Grundy R-5 was named First Team, All-Conference. Named All-Conference Honor-able Mention were Grant Harley and Amanda Meinecke, North Daviess; Crystal Cook, North Harrison; Larrimie Gordon, Bryan Sweet and Gib Wray, Tri-County.
