Ruth Tharp, a 91-year-old resident of Henrietta, TX, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 in Henrietta.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007 at the Cowboy Church in Henrietta. Rev. Larry Miller, church pastor, will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o’clock tonight at the Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tharp was born April 22, 1916 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Rev. Carl Lee and Ruth Bever Simpson. She was a dietician and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Lee Tharp of Henrietta and Steven C. Tharp of Wyoming; a daughter, Belanda Palisoc of Wichita Falls, TX; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tharp was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Myron Tharp; a son, Donald Tharp; and a granddaughter, Tracey Tharp.
Memorials have been suggested to the Hospice of Wichita Falls or to the Cowboy Church in Henrietta.
