Velma E. Goll, a 74-year-old resident of Braymer, died on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007 at her home in Braymer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at the Braymer Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Braymer.
General visitation is under way at the Lindley Funeral Home in Braymer. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mrs. Goll was born on Oct. 8, 1933 in Caldwell County, the daughter of Irvin E. and Goldie G. Sutton Hawkins. She was a 1951 graduate of Braymer High School and worked for over 18 years at the Stride Rite Shoe factory in Hamilton. She was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church. She enjoyed oil painting, sewing, quilting and crossword puzzles.
She was married on Aug. 30, 1951 in Bentonville, AR to Lloyd H. Goll, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1988.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel M. Goll and his wife, Brenda, of Winston and Michael G. Goll and his wife, Beverly, of Hale; two daughters, Cathy J. Templeton and her husband, Edward, of Lawson and Beverly J. Goll of Braymer; one foster son, Cecil Woodsmall and his wife, Mary, of Versailles; two foster daughters, Mary Woodsmall of St. Joseph and Nancy Carr of Cameron; one brother, John Hawkins of Braymer; three sisters, Elizabeth Foster of Braymer, Ann Leabo of Excelsior Springs and Joyce Foster of Toppenish, WA; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Goll Orr; two sisters, Bettie Hayden and Beatrice Harness; and one brother-in-law, David Foster.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. They can be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home at PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
