Region H Gets Homeland Security Funds

The Region H Homeland Security Oversight Committee, which includes several counties in northwest Missouri, has received $471,342 in federal homeland security grant funds.

The funds are available in the areas of agriculture risk management, medical surge, mass sheltering and volunteer management, interoperable communication and interoperable communication as related to 9-1-1. Counties included in Region H are Grundy, Daviess, Harrison, Mercer, Livingston, Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, DeKalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth.
