Parade Lineup Announced

A parade sponsored by the Trenton Rotary Club is scheduled to kick off Missouri Day Festival activities on Saturday.

The parade will get under way at 8:30 a.m., beginning at the corner of Crowder Road and Main Street and continuing the route down Main Street to Ninth Street, where it will turn east and continue to Eastside Park, via Kerfoot Street. Bands in the parade that will be taking part in the band festival competition will leave the parade route at Normal Street.
“Celebrating Historic Trenton” is the theme of the parade, with members of the Missouri Day History Book Committee serving as grand marshal. Trophies will be awarded to entries in 10 categories, including “Spirit of Missouri” float, Best Youth Float, Best Business Float, Best Organizational Float, Best Classic Car or Truck, Best Antique Car or Truck, Oldest Farm Tractor, Best Horse Entry-Adult, Best Horse Entry-Youth and Best Dressed Saddle Club.
