Judge Steven D. Hudson
Brandy Lee Van Arkel, 29, Des Moines, IA, pleaded guilty to amended charges of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Sentencing was set for Dec. 13. The original charges were possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, deliver or sell.

Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $22.50 and $58.50 costs were Alice A. Carver, 53, Galt, and Larry E. Poortinga, 41, Stanwood, WA.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $32.50 and $58.50 costs were Maria D. Moulin, 34, Gilman City; Terri M. Houck, 26, Princeton; Steven D. Albrecht, 47, Norwalk, IA; and Christina L. Brinkley, 30, Gilman City.
Thomas C. Hawkins, 60, Kirksville, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $42.50 and $58.50 costs.
John M. Baughman, 41, Higgins-ville, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Micheal E. Williams, 59, Smithton, pleaded guilty to failing to keep proper driver’s record and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs.
Patty Vicenti, 1905 Park Lane, had a charge of passing bad checks dismissed.
Associate Civil
CACH, LLC vs. Beverly A. Ford. A consent judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the total amount of $2,102.62, with interest to continue to accrue at 27.99 percent. The parties agreed to allow monthly payments to be made in the case, which involved breach of contract.
