Julie Anne Rodriguez filed a petition to have her name changed to Julie Ann Rogers. A hearing was set for Nov. 6.
Correction
Robert Wayne King and Shelda Joy King vs. Helton Insurance Agency and Phillip Lloyd Helton. The case, which was consolidated with the case of Dallas Cox and Barbara Cox vs. Helton Insurance Agency and Phillip Helton, was set for jury trial on April 9, 2008. The cases involve life insurance investments. Merrill Callihan had earlier been dismissed from the suit.

Capital One Bank vs. Alicia J. Bland. The court found in favor of the plaintiff in the total amount of $5,311.56 and costs.
Municipal Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Seth W. Gibson, 37, 643 Highway 146, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $20.50 and $32.50 costs.
Buffy J. Rounkles, 32, 1428 Merrill St., pleaded guilty to failing to display valid vehicle license plates and was fined $50.50 and $32.50 costs.
