The bill honors those who served in the Vietnam War with a symbol of Missouri’s appreciation for their service to the nation. Those interested in receiving a medallion and certificate, including the surviving spouse or oldest living survivor of a Vietnam veteran, may contact Tony Ralston or VFW Post 919 for application forms. A copy of the veteran’s DD 214 and report of discharge or separation from service forms are needed. If there is enough participation in the program, a presentation ceremony attended by a state official may be held in Trenton.
Ralston can be reached at 359-5552 or 359-3198.
