Three area softball player were named to the Boys All-State Softball Team for their performances in the state softball tournament held in Chillicothe on Sept. 28-29.

Newtown-Harris’ Tyler Busick and Canaan Fairley, both juniors, were named to the team along with Gilman City’s Blake Johnson, a senior.
Others named to the team included Jeff Parton, Jordan Talbert and Travis Lowrey of Pattonsburg; Brody Abell and Ryan Cox of North Harrison; Doug Archer, Kyle Scheiber and Craig Mattson of Jefferson; David Claycomb and Justin Joiner of Ridgeway; Tyler Lucassen of Winston; and Derek Allen of Northeast Nodaway.
