Disabilities Awareness Day

Access II Independent Living Center, Inc. will be sponsoring a Disability Awareness Day on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its office in Gallatin.

Several activities are planned during the event, including free glaucoma, blood pressure and oral cancer testing, along with free refreshments and door prizes. Lunch will also be provided free of charge.
Several area agencies will be present at the event to present information on various topics. Among those scheduled to be there are the Albany Regional center, Cameron Comfort Care Hospice, Cameron Regional Medical Center, CASA, Community Options, the Daviess County Health Department, the Green Hills Community Action Agency, the Green Hills Women’s Shelter, the Grundy County Learning Center, the Missouri Conservation Department, Modern Medical Mobility, Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging, Rehab Services for the Blind, ServeLink, North Central Missouri Child Advocacy, Sun Tec, Dr. Stanley Humphreys and State Rep. Jim Whorton.
