Chester Earl Sharpe, 86, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in Fort Worth, TX.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Greenwood Chapel. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Park.
A family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Mr. Sharpe was born on Sept. 25, 1921, in Humphreys. He was married to Shirley Donovan on May 23, 1946. He was a career Army man, serving in India during World War II and later was on two tours of duty in Korea and one in Germany.
He retired from the service at Fort Sam Houston in July 1965 and came to Fort Worth to be the director of child evangelism fellowship of Tarrant County. He held that position for eight years and then served as the East Texas State director for five years.
He was an active member of Northwest Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Robert Sharpe and his wife, Kay, of Flower Mound, TX and Jerry Sharpe and his wife, Laura, of Lake City, CO; two daughters, Janelle Henry and her husband, “Doc,” of Denton, TX and Janet Burton and her husband, Dale; three granddaughters, Mandy Henry Casteel and her husband, Tim, Cameron Henry Trice and her husband, Justin, and Tyler Burton Stowe and her husband, David; five grandsons, Daniel, Dustin, Jared, Dylan and Jonathan Sharpe; three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers-in-law, Robert Donovan and his wife, Jackie, of Kansas City, and Uhl Donovan and his wife, Nancy, of Silver City, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
