Shawn Michael Valentine
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at the Half Rock Cemetery in Spickard. Rev. Sammy Valentine will officiate.
Mr. Valentine was born in Trenton on April 6, 1976, the son of Randy Valentine and Kathy Hayes Patterson. He graduated from Pawnee Heights High School in Rozel, KS in 1994. He graduated in 1999 from the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, FL. He was an independent truck driver for many years until he became ill in 2005.
He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. He enjoyed woodworking and being with his family.
He is survived by his parents, who reside in Lebanon; one sister, Brittany Detherage and her husband, Josh, of Wichita, KS: a niece, Courtney Detherage; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Amy Hayes of the home; his paternal grandparents, Carol Patterson of Rozel and Harold Patterson of Burdett, KS; and two chocolate labs, Mack and Jackson, who were his constant companions.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warner and Mary Valentine.
