Trenton took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the fourth inning and was then able to push six runs across the plate with a combination of walks, bunts and errors to beat South Harrison in the final game of the season.
Halie Brewer scored twice, reaching base three times on walks, to help aid the Lady Bulldog offense. Kate Lowrey collected two hits to lead Trenton in that category.
Pitching for Trenton was Chanel Pash, who went all six innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks. Pash mowed through the South Harrison lineup, striking out 11 batters in the contest.
Trenton finished its season with an impressive record of 8-3. All three losses for the Lady Bulldogs this season came by just one run.
Following the A game, the B team took the field. The B team went into the game looking to finish the season with an undefeated record of 6-0 and did just that. Trenton toppled South Harrison’s B squad by a final score of 4-1.
Maddie Hooyman pitched two of the three innings, recording six strikeouts.
Offensively, Hooyman and Katie Halstead each picked up RBI hits in the game to help lead the Lady Bulldogs.
