The Trenton Middle School softball team beat Princeton Saturday morning, 14-2. The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Princeton to make up a game rained out earlier in the week and came away with their seventh win of the season.

Trenton jumped out to an early four-run lead in the first inning. A two-RBI triple by Chanel Pash and an RBI double by Kate Lowrey triggered the rally that buried Princeton early in the contest.
Trenton would go on to score twice more in the second and third innings before scoring six runs in the fifth to finish the game. Princeton’s offense could not retaliate, allowing the Lady Bulldogs to take the win in the fifth inning via the 10-run rule.
Pash went the distance pitching for the Lady Bulldogs, allowing just one hit and no earned runs. Pash also struck out three Lady Tigers in the game.
Trenton moved to 7-3 on the season and will wrap up its season tonight at home against South Harrison. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 o’clock at Johnson Field.
The B team also played following the A team. The B team followed in the A team’s footsteps, taking a 9-5 win over Princeton. The B team is now 5-0 on the season. They will also play South Harrison tonight in Trenton following the A team game.
