The Panthers got a strong game at the plate from Tyler Jackson, who went 3-for-5. Grundy also had multiple-hit performances from Jordan Whitney, Shawn Gott and Adam Buckner.
Grundy got up early, scoring four runs in the first two innings, and closed strong with three in the fifth and seventh to seal the 10-7 win.
On Saturday, the Panthers’ season came to an end as they fell 14-0 to Newtown-Harris.
Newtown scored eight runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach for the Panthers.
“I am proud of the boys’ efforts this year for as young as we were,” Head Coach Les Jackson said. “We will only be losing one senior in third baseman Eli McPike.”
Grundy finished the season with an overall record of 6-7
