Calamity Jane Day activities were held last weekend in Princeton, with several events held during the three-day event. Winners included:

st place in the merchant windows contest went to The Famous, which had a display of reproduction pin depression glass in none window and a pictorial display of past Calamity Jane queens in the other window.
The US Bank took second place for its display of a portrait of Calamity Jane and other photos and stories of her life. Third place went to Watkins Shelter Insurance for a display of antique items by Maribelle McHargue and Kathy Thomas. The Bargain Store was fourth for its display of early household items in one window and pieces of sheet music in the second window. Taking fifth was the Great Western Bank with a fall floral display.
Baby Quilt Show
A baby quilt show was sponsored by the Stacy Multipurpose Center. The winner, by popular vote, was an antique baby quilt entered by Dixie Moore. She received a quarter year membership to the Stacy Center.
Children’s Parade
There were 10 children who participated in the children’s parade, with all participants receiving a medallion and prize. Children in the parade included Gunnar and Maddox McLain, children of Troy and Amanda McLain of Liberty; Kohner Vanderpool, son of Clint and Gretchen Vanderpool of Princeton; Chance Hertzog and his dog, Missy, son of Dewey and Kim Hertzog of Princeton; Rachael Schroeder and her pony, Ranger, daughter of Dan and Sally Schroeder of Newtown; Chassidy, Jillian and Jayden Finney, children of Brian and Gina Finney of Cainsville; and Braden and Madisyn Clapham, children of Scot and Amy Clapham of Princeton.
Car Show
Duane Helmandollar of Trenton took Best of Show honors in the original class with a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, while Vonnnie and Don McKenna of Ankeny, IA, won Best of Show in the modified class with a 1940 Ford Coupe.

Named as Little Wild Bill was Angela Peto, son of Shawn and Krsty Peto, while Riley Moreno, daughter of Fred and Keri Schreffler of Princeton, was named Little Calamity Jane.
Taking second were Will Walkup, son of Sam and Sarah Walkup of Princeton and Avery Weber, daughter of Willy and Crissy Weber of Princeton. Third-place winners were Parker Coon, son of Josh and Lucrietia Coon of Princeton and Owen Schreffler, son of Blake and April Schreffler of Princeton (tie) and Morgan Woodwad, daughter of Darrel and Bobbi Woodward of Kansas City.
