Wallace “Wally” Kemp, a 74-year-old resident of Versailles, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at his home. He was a native of Trenton.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 in the lower level of the First Baptist Church in Trenton.
Mr. Kemp was born on Nov. 3, 1932, the son of James Monroe and Blanche Ethel Baugh Kemp.
He was married on June 29, 1952 in Trenton to the former Phyllis Nichols, who survives of the home. He worked for a wood preserving company, inspecting and treating utility poles. In his spare time he enjoyed working in the yard and gardening as well as his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Mike Kemp of Lake Ozark; two daughters, Jackie Littrell of Glendora, CA, and Christine Drewel of Lake Ozark; six grandchildren, Matt and Kelli Littrell, Cassie Trent, Ryan Drewel, Jason Kemp and Jennifer Strait; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lexie, Kayleigh, Gracie, Riley, Brannon and Madison; two sisters, Davina Kemp of Gravois Mills and Annabelle Terry of Detroit, MI; and several other relatives and friends.
