Geoff Eads of Jamesport is the local winner in the second week of the weekly Power Points contest.
Eads had 122 out of 136 points and is the recipient of the $30 local prize.

Michael Smigel of Cleveland, OH was the Midwest Regional winner with a perfect score of 136 points. Smigel’s tiebreaker guess that a total of 35 points would be scored in the Detroit-Minnesota game (actual total was 37) allowed him to take the win over Nathaniel Ochs of Olney, IL, who also posted a perfect score. Smigel takes home a $1,000 prize.
Entry forms can be found in Tuesday’s Republican-Times and must be turned in to one of the local sponsors by 1 p.m. on Thursday. In addition to the R-T, local sponsors include Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri, Hy-Vee, Barnes Baker, ServeLink and Easter’s True Value.
