In a game played for the most part in drizzling rain, Trenton used a six-run second inning to put the Lady Panthers away. Maddie Hooyman pitched all six innings for the victory, striking out eight, walking one and allowing no hits.
Hooyman also helped herself at the plate, getting two hits and scoring three runs. Avery Whitaker added to the offensive threat with two hits and two runs scored. Kate Lowrey had three hits in three trips to the plate.
A five-run fourth inning proved to be the difference in the game against Cameron. Haley Creason pushed across two runs on a single to give Trenton the victory.
Chanel Pash went the distance for the TMS girls, allowing just two earned runs on three hits while walking six and striking out nine. Lowrey threw out two key runners at second base to help preserve the win for Trenton.
The TMS girls are 4-2 on the season and will be at home next Monday, hosting Putnam County.
