Jasper Leland “Jack Lee” Jones, a 65-year-old resident of Eucha, OK, died on Saturday evening, Aug. 18, 2007 at the St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin after a lengthy battle with leukemia.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at the South Grand Lake Baptist Church. Rev. Ray Larkin officiated.
Musical selections included “Amazing Grace”, “Ten Thousand Angels” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”
Raymond Klossing was the urn bearer.
Burial was with full military honors at the Muskogee National Cemetery in Muskogee, OK.
Mr. Jones was born on Aug. 8, 1942 in Moline, IL, the son of Jack Franklin and Lillian Marie Verschoore Jones. He was a truck driver for over 30 years. He was also a rig manager in the oil fields. He was a member of the south grand Luke Baptist Church of rural Disney, OK. He enjoyed fishing, camping, attending church, his two Min Pin dogs and his Siamese cat.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Ilean Jones of the home; eight children, Paul R. and his wife, Christal, of Langley, OK, Richard S. and Jerry L. of Tiajuana, OK, Victor F. and his wife, Sheila, of the state of Texas, Jericho L. of the state of Arizona, Nancy Joe and her husband, Scott, of the state of Nevada, Jacqueline L. of the state of Arkansas and Jasper L. Jones II of the state of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; his parents of Colona, IL; two sisters and four brothers, Don Jones and his wife, Sherrie, of Annawon, IL, Mary Carlson and her husband, Walter, of Colona, Marvin Jones and his wife, Sandie, of Andulusia, IL, Tom Jones and his wife, Sue, of Colona, Bill Jones of Colona and Barbara Fedderson and her husband, Glen, of the state of Iowa; several nieces nephews; and several in-laws. Sally Morris and Nancy Bland, both of Trenton, are aunts.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
