Entries are being sought by the Spickard Fair Board for its “Decorate a Sport Shoe” contest, which will be held in conjunction with this year’s Spickard Fall Festival.

“Sports in Spickard – Past and Present” is the theme of the festival, which will be held Sept. 7-9. Old tennis shoes, golf shoes, etc., can be decorated with any material. Shoes will be judged on originality and eye appeal, with prizes of $25, $15 and $10 being awarded for first, second and third place in both the adult and youth categories.
All entries must be submitted no later than 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5. For more information, persons can call 485-6288.
