The board of directors of the Grundy County Nursing Home District met Monday evening at Sunnyview Nursing Home, setting the tax levy and authorizing the purchase of a new printer.

According to information provided by the board, board members set the tax levy at 15 cents on the $100 assessed valuation. In addition, the board approved a conflict of interest resolution, as well as a personnel policy manual, subject to any changes deemed necessary by the board’s legal counsel. Board members authorized the purchase of a new printer for the business office at an estimated cost of $800 and authorized Interim Administrator Kristy Garrison to purchase new room plates for residents. A banking resolution was also passed to place Ms. Garrison on the bank signature cards, replacing Pat Akers, who recently resigned.
A closed session was held to discuss legal and personnel matters, with no announcement made.
