Hudson Glenard Moore, an 86-year-old resident of Princeton, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007 at Pearl’s II Eden for Elders in Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at the Greenlee- Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton. Rev. Gary Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, located northwest of Princeton.
Open visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at the funeral home, where a family visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Moore was born Feb. 15, 1921 in Mercer County, the son of Loyd Dewey and Anna Rebekah Holmes Moore.
He was united in marriage to Helen Irene Swingle on Jan. 21, 1944. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2007.
Mr. Moore was raised in Mercer County, where he attended rural schools. He was a lifelong farmer, but also worked at other occupations before becoming a full-time farmer. In his early years, he owned and operated a Sinclair Station and a concrete plant in Princeton, a hog market sale barn in Unionville, worked as a livestock truck driver and was an automobile transport truck driver while residing in Kansas City.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Ragan-Hickman American Legion Post #477 in Mercer and was a member of Mercer Lodge #35 A.F. and A.M. in Princeton. He was also a long-time member of the board of directors of the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association.
Mr. Moore is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ingrassia of Liberty; three grandchildren, Rochelle Hearn and her husband, Randy of Liberty, Michelle Fillpot and her husband, Barry of Liberty, and Azure McGee of Independence; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Moore of Lee’s Summit; and by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by two sons, Don and Dan Moore; a grandson, Devic McGee; and a brother, Earldean Moore.
