Funeral services for Shirley D. Marlin will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.

The body has been cremated and the cremains will be buried at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trentonn at a later date.
Mrs. Marlin, a 67-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 9:46 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007 at Saint Luke’s Medical Center on the Plaza in Kansas City.
A family visitation is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 and from 2 p.m. until service time on Friday. Open visitation is under way.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1939 in Trenton, the daughter of Leslie Dean and Georgia Strine Lovell. She graduated from Spickard High School.
She was married on June 12, 1964 to Walter “Red” Marlin in Trenton.
Mrs. Marlin worked at Modine Manufacturing Company in Trenton and as a supervisor at the Crown Restaurant and Taco Nita Restaurant.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Pipes of Laredo and Teresa Chaulk and her husband, Jim, of Kemmerer, WY; a sister Deanna Martin of Independence; and five grandsons, including Cody Baker, Lance Pipes, Nicholas Pipes, Sidney Chaulk and Jackson Chaulk.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
