A memorial service for Lena A. Nielsen and her husband, Harold T. Nielsen Jr., will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery at Chula.
There is no family visitation scheduled. General visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at the funeral home. Mrs. Nielsen, a 93-year-old resident of Chula, died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Nielsen was born on Dec. 13, 1913 in Chula, the daughter of Albert Charles and Buelah Taylor Dickman. She was married on Jan. 11, 1947 in Wichita, KS to Harold T. Nielsen Jr., who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2003.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Joetha Grahl of Denver, CO, Marsha Cross of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Delores Gronewald of Pekin, IL, Joyce Wilcox of Pana, IL, Velrlin Dickman of Colorado Springs, CO, Jim Dickman of Pasco, WA, Flank Flentje of Michigan City, IN and Norman Flentje of Thayer, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
