The second game was a forfeit victory for CFC over GHC. The forfeit loss for GHC eliminated them from the tournament.
Hodge and the Angels battled in the third game of the night, both looking to stave off elimination. In the end it was Hodge who stayed alive and came away with a 17-11 win to eliminate the Angels.
Game four saw two more teams playing for their tournament lives. South Evans and CFC faced off and in the end it was South Evans who was sent home packing. CFC got a 13-2 win to survive and advance.
The tournament wraps up on Saturday night. Action at the Ebbe Sports Complex begins at 6 p.m. with two games. On Johnson Field, the loser’s bracket game will feature CFC and Hodge with the loser being eliminated. On Griffin Field, Galt Christian will hope to keep its hot streak going against the regular season champion Country Christians. The loser of that game will face the winner of the CFC-Hodge game at 7:30 on Griffin Field.
The winner of the 7:30 game will play the winner of the Galt Christian-Country Christians game in the championship game at 9 o’clock on Griffin Field. Should the loser’s bracket team win, a second championship game will take place at 10:30 on Griffin Field.
