A Mass of Christian Burial for John E. Knosby will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Trenton.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 7:30 p.m. tonight (Monday, Aug. 13, 2007) at the mortuary, with the Rosary to be read at 7:30 p.m. after the visitation.
Mr. Knosby, a 75-year-old resident of Trenton, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, near his farm at Hooks, TX, due to an accident while operating a bulldozer.
Mr. Knosby was born on Nov. 29, 1931 in Des Moines, IA, the son of Thomas Martin and Ilene Hayes Knosby. He was raised at Cummings, IA and graduated from high school at Williams, IA. He was married on Oct. 3, 1959 at Ft. Dodge, IA to Mary Margaret Washburn, who preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 1983. He was married at Trenton on Jan. 5, 1985 to Twila Kennedy Steele, who survives of the home at Trenton.
He farmed in Clarion, IA until he purchased a farm west of Spickard in November 1972. In addition to his Missouri farms, he had purchased a farm near Hooks 10 years ago.
He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Trenton and also attended the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hooks.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Knosby of Greenwood and Tom Knosby of Columbia; a step-son, Walter Lee Steele of Cameron; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Austin and Cyril Knosby.
The family suggest memorials be left to the donor’s choice.
