Several area students at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources have received scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year.

Hilary Holeman received the McCarty Scholar Award, awarded to students who receive the MU Curator Award. It is a four-year scholar award. Miss Holeman is a senior at UMC, majoring in ag education and is the daughter of Hilbert and Sue Holeman of Trenton.
Alex Peterson has been named the recipient of the Schell Scholar Award and is also entitled to a four-year scholar award. He is a sophomore ag economics major and is the son of Brian and Barb Peterson of Trenton.
Stephanie Gutshall has received the Elyzabeth Schell Scholarship. She is a junior plant sciences major and the daughter of Dennis and Marcia Gutshall of Trenton.
The Charles L. and Thelma VanBuren Scholarship has been awarded to Kari Epperson. She is a senior animal sciences major and is the daughter of Mike and Tawny Epperson of Laredo.
Kabel Oaks has received the C.R. Johnston-Farm Bureau Scholarship as well as the State FFA Office and Curator Interscholastic Events Scholar-ship. He is a freshman animal science major and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Oaks of Galt.
