The Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Saturday Night Live event on Aug. 11, featuring German music.

The Der Steirkraft will play from 6 to 8 p.m. at the bandstand in the downtown area. An ice cream social will also be held.
There are 10 girls signed up for the Calamity Jane Queen Contest, which will be held on Aug. 18 at the Stacy Multipurpose Center. Four more sponsors are needed and businesses wanting to serve as sponsors can contact Kim Hertzog.
Plans are under way for the Calamity Jane Day activities, planned for September. Mindy Renner is handling vendors and Judy Woodward is taking reservations for the craft show, which will be held in the Hal England Center.
The Princeton First Baptist Church has announced that the trail ride will begin at noon on Thursday, Sept. 13 at the church. Riders will return to the same location that evening for a dinner, to be served by the chamber. The dinner will be followed by a music program, with the trail ride to resume the next morning. All riders are being encouraged to came at the church and stay for the parade on Saturday.
