North Central Missouri College will host U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce Sandy K. Baruah during a regional roundtable scheduled for Monday, Aug. 20.

The roundtable, “Education, Training and Regional Economic Development Linked to a Growing Health Care Industry in Northwest Missouri,” is being developed by the College in partnership with U.S. Congressman Sam Graves of Tarkio. Area allied health executives and key economic development representatives have been invited to participate during the meeting which is set for 2 p.m. in the Sugg Conference Room of the Ketcham Community Center on the campus of North Central Missouri College.
Facilitators for the discussions will be Congressman Graves, Dr. Neil Nuttall, President of NCMC, and Janet Vanderpool, ADN, BSN, MSN, dean of allied health sciences for NCMC. Items expected to be covered include empirical and anecdotal information regarding programs, facilities, and equipment necessary for provision of optimal health care for the citizens of northwest Missouri.
