According to the Trenton Fire Department, they were called to 3411 Oklahoma Ave., near K and J Auto, where three separate grass fires were reported. The fires were about 100 yards from each other and were all located on the east side of the road. Other than grass, nothing was burned. The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District assisted at the scene, where firefighters remained for about 15 minutes.
In addition, firemen were called to the Don Warren residence at 1302 Lake Manor Dr., at approximately 9 p.m. after a gas leak was reported. It was determined that the meter had pulled away from the house due to settling and had begun to leak. Empire Gas was called to the scene to make repairs. Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
