Woman Hits Ninth Street Bridge

A Kansas City woman was ticketed following an accident on Monday night in which the car she was driving hit the Ninth Street bridge.

According to Officer Keith Edmonston’s report, Holly Anne Farris, 24, was driving west on Ninth Street when the passenger side tire blew out on the bridge. According to Ms. Farris, the car slid and hit the bridge on the front passenger side, with the back end then coming around and hitting the wall. Ms. Farris told police she then pulled the vehicle into a private business lot.
The report went on to say that the responding officers stated their investigation was in conflict with the statement of the driver as to what happened. While there was no witness to the actual impact, several persons at the scene said they saw three to four individuals flee the scene from the vehicle once it was parked in the business lot. The driver said she did not know who the individuals were.
